Graduate Study in Mechanical Engineering
Welcome to the graduate program in Mechanical Engineering. We hope that your educational experience at the University of Texas at El Paso will be one of the most rewarding experiences in your professional development. Our program provides an opportunity for you to pursue in-depth training in the fluid and thermal sciences, solid mechanics, or design areas to meet your professional and academic goals.
These guidelines are intended to cover a number of topics concerning the graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, including how they are administered. This handbook does not replace the Graduate Catalog, which each new student should consult to understand the Graduate School rules in general and those relative to the Mechanical Engineering degree programs. The website for the Graduate School (http://academics.utep.edu/graduate) and the mechanical engineering program (http://me.utep.edu/) will have further information.
